As it was reported yesterday afternoon, Jules Bianchi suffered ‘diffuse axonal injury’ due to serious car crash happened on Sunday at the Japanese Grand Prix. His condition is critical but stable. He has to remain in hospital.

Diffuse axonal injury typically happens after car crashes as the injury occur when a big hit comes to the brain. The injury causes the damage on a bigger part of the brain not on a specific area. This is the leading causes of death happened trough traumatic brain injury.

Official statements reported that the 25-years-old Marussia driver is still in a critical but stable state. Medical professionals do their best and of course it is a very difficult time for Jules’s family.

As Marussia statements say: “Following the accident involving Jules Bianchi during yesterday’s 2014 Formula One Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka Circuit, the Marussia F1 team would like to acknowledge the huge outpouring of support and affection for Jules and the team at this very difficult time. With regard to the communication of information concerning Jules’ medical condition, we will respect, and be guided by, the wishes of the Bianchi family. Together with Jules’ care, they will remain our highest priority.”

Bianchi crashed to a recovery vehicle which was there to remove Adrian Sutil’s stricken Sauber. Weather conditions didn’t help in this case as heavy rain and limited visibility set back drivers on the Japanese Grand Prix.
